DAFFODIL DAY

 

Lillypad recently sponsored the  Cancer Council and Melbourne Bridal Expo with a 'Daffodil' dress.  Inspired by the amazing gowns of bridal couture, Lillypad designed and constructed a bridal dress made entirely of silk.  A beautiful dress with amazing floral accents - over 1000 silk daffodils have been hand sewn onto the bodice and skirt of this dress to create a burst of color and providing a lovely textural design element.

 

A gorgeous daffodil bouquet was also created to compliment the gown consisting mainly of daffodils with diamonte accents and a border of lemon feathers, and cascading below it was a hand made 'vine' of yellow aluminium 'leaves' with diamonte accents and dancing lady orchids which was modeled by Adam Cooneys fiance Haylea MacCann in the Herald Sun 8th August.
